Rivers of Recovery Women’s Fly-Fishing Trip

Stryten Energy sponsored two veterans, Valarie Merced, PMO Project Manager, and LaVonia Melson, Customer Care Representative, on a women’s only fly-fishing trip organized by Rivers of Recovery in Danbury, WI, from June 17 to June 20. The trip brought together a group of eight women veterans, including three from the Air Force and five from the Army.
Our veterans volunteered and participated alongside six others in the Rivers of Recovery program, serving as an example of life after service for veterans transitioning back to civilian life.

Jason Gibbs, Matt Witham, Ron Huber and Tom Smith, long-standing Stryten Energy employees from our Manchester, IA, plant, each with over 30 years of service at the facility, participated in the Rivers of Recovery annual Stars and Stripes Fishing Tournament held on June 6 and 7, 2024, in Newburg, MD. Stryten Energy has been the platinum sponsor of the tournament for the past three years.
